This particular memory keeps coming to mind. Katie and I went skiing in 2008 - Staying at this beautiful Chalet at the top of the mountain. Katie was so bad at skiing - The teacher ended up giving up on her. But she kept trying :) After the first day, neither of us could move. We were sunburnt, and sore. But it was the end of the season, so we had the whole Chalet to ourselves. It was incredible. We were walking past this huge mound of snow, Katie thought it would be fun to run and jump onto this soft soft snow. I remember her comically running up, and it was almost as if she was jumping in slow motion as she landed on this...Not so soft snow. She winded herself! I remember how excited she looked at the idea of sinking in this snow. And then the unimpressed look on her face when it didn't quite turn out that way. It snowed that night. It was an amazing trip.
